Description of service
Last year I had to have a root canal done on my upper tooth. I went to a local dentist who referred me to a root canal specialist. It took a week to get in to see them and I was in pain. Once I got the appointment, he scheduled me for the next morning. He then prescribed me two pills to take before coming to the office. This was to help calm me before the root canal.
Review of Service
As much as I don't like dentists, this procedure went quiet well. The staff was extremely nice and cordial. The dentist came in a gave me novacaine, probably this was the worst part of the whole root canal. It took a few minutes for the novocaine to work but then I was completely numb. He was not a big talker which I appreciated. He went in a did his job. He encountered a few problems but all in all it went well. Once he had completed the root canal, I was kept at the office for about 30 minutes just to observe me. He then gave me instructions about cleaning the area, and what I should not eat and especially not drink soda.
Tips
Always check your dentist out with the Dental Association. Know exactly what the costs involved are and if your insurance pays. Also check if the dentist will file insurance paperwork for you.
