Description of service
My dentist told me I had to have a root canal and that he did not do them himself in his Tampa, Florida office. He referred me to a specialist in Lakeland, Florida, about 50 miles from Tampa. This specialist did the root canal, but did not do the temporary and permanent crown. I had to go to another specialist for that. The procedure took three visits; one for the consultation and one for the actual work and one for a check-up four days after the procedure to make sure everything was okay and there wasn't any infection.
Review of Service
The root canal specialist had a beautiful, clean office and his staff was very pleasant and helpful. He was professional and found a way to put me at ease, as he knew I was uncomforable about having a stranger work on my teeth. He was gentle and I was very pleased.
Tips
Make sure you understand what services that provide. When I called around for quotes, some were as much as $1,200, but I found out that included the root canal and the crown. The prices became a little confusing after a while. Use your dentists recommdation. I spent a lot of time calling around and in the end, their prices were all very close. If you trust your dentist, trust his referral.
