Description of service
I went to my dentist who spotted a problem underneath an existing filling and she felt that I would need a root canal. She referred me to a specialist and I called and made an appointment to be evaluated to see if the root canal would be necessary. I took in my e-rays and she reviewed them and took a look at my tooth, testing sensitivity to hot, cold, pressure etc. She felt the procedure would be needed and I set up an appointment, though the waiting time was 6 weeks. I was not in pain, but hated the thought of the long wait and anticipation. I got in earlier and had the root canal done in two visits. Each visit was about 1 1/2 hours long. It was completely painless and I had no discomfort afterward either.
Review of Service
I was completely satisfied with the service. Although the price seemed high ( and I'm not sure that it was really), it was easy and though not exactly pleasant, not the least bit uncomfortable either.
Tips
I did not have a crown done. The cost was simply to high for me at the time. I could still have this done though. I asked the receptionist to notify me if there was a cancellation, and this worked out for me as I was able to get in just a few days later.
