the Price of a Root Canal

The service was a root canal on a back molar tooth. The tooth had three canals. I don't know a whole lot about it because I am a patient, not a dentist, but from the explanation my dentist gave me, the cost had a lot to do with how many canals there are on the tooth. The front teeth are supposed to be cheaper because they have one, but back molars are more costly because they can have three. None of this was covered by my dental insurance, and by bill for the root canal on my back molar was $750.

Root canals, (or any dental procedure for that matter) are never fun. So, I would be lying if I said it was enjoyable or good, or anything along those lines. It hurt. But, all root canals are like that. I guess my dentist did a pretty good job because it eventually healed okay. It seems like I got a fair price too from the research I did. So I cannot complain about the dentist.

My tip would be to do the research and shop around to get a fair price. Often times, it is tough to get dental insurance to cover a root canal, so you need to find a good price.
