Root canal consisted of the following steps: First the dentist gave an injection to numb the area. Then he drilled to remove the tooth. After the tooth is drilled away, he drilled a hole until he got to the root. He placed a plastic device around the area to hold the bleach. The bleach was used to kill the root. The root area was filled and a temporary crown was placed on top. Crown would come later at an additional cost. Cost for just the root canal was $631.

Our dentist is absolutely the best. I have had root canals in the past and the pain of pressure of removing the root was horrible (even with the area being numb). Our dentist uses a new approach, where bleach is used to kill the root. This procedure is not even close to the pain a root canal used to be. The only drawback to this procedure is the unexpected smell of bleach. The smell of bleach is very strong and I did not expect this. My dentist did advise me of this, but I did not realize just how strong the bleach would be. Now that I know what to expect, I highly recommend the root canal with bleach.

You should not only like, but trust your dentist. Go ahead and pay for a relaxing medication to help ease your stress. Just have someone drive you home after the procedure.
