Description of service
We got a 4 hour group lesson for our son, a beginner. It was a great way to get him up to speed on the basic skills for the rest of the day. They had about 10 kids, mostly 10-15 year old, with a couple younger kids. They spent the first part of the session learning to fall and hook up their equipment. After that, they went up the rope tow, then the small chair lift and progressed down the mountain and waited as everyone kind of went at their own pace. They had two instructors to go amongst the kids, helping them get their bearings and pointing out how to do the skills better. The cost did not include ski rental equipment or the lift ticket.
Review of Service
The instructors of our group did a fantastic job and everyone was able to get around fairly well by the end of the session, plus they had a fun time together. They made the learning fun and everyone had a chance to make some excellent progress. They laughed together at the spills and that made everyone very comfortable with their own wipe outs. In order to show the kids the "right" way to fall, they did some spectacular falls themselves, which my son is still talking about!
Tips
Go during off peak hours if possible, you are likely to get a very small group lesson, for the same price. You will have more personal instruction that way.
