Description of service
I had a litter of kittens, two male and two female, that were five months old and all needed to be spayed. I took them to the local low cost spay/neuter clinic. They have their own veterinarians on staff as well as ones that volunteer their time to the clinic. I took all four in at once. They were all four given pain medication after the surgery as an added fee/bonus of $10.00 per kitten. The spays were $60.00 each and the neuters were $45.00 each. They were in and out in one day and returned to us with liquid stitches (surgically glued wounds) and a bit out of it from the anesthesia.
Review of Service
I would highly recommend this low cost spay/neuter clinic to anyone looking to be a responsible pet owner but not made of money. I had called my normal veterinarian for prices on having her do the procedures, and it was going to cost around $1000.00 for all four of them. The staff at the clinic were awesome and you could tell they were working for the love of animals. We did not meet the veterinarian, but she/he did a really good job and we had no healing issues at all with our kittens.
Tips
If you have access to a low cost spay/neuter clinic, use it. They often have immunization specials too, so you can get your shots for less there too. Just because they are cheap does not mean you are getting less quality care for your pets. I will definitely use them again.
