Description of service
We had both of our cats spayed. they were females, so we found a vet in Trenton that would spay them at a reasonable charge.
Review of Service
The place we took them to did not seem very clean. The waiting room was dirty. When we brought the kittens inside the office, the examination table had hair and dirt on it form the previous pet that had been examined there. The kitten was examined, and then put in a cage in a scary looking room. The room was cold and not very clean. The kittens had to stay overnight, and I was very worried that the kittens may not receive the best care. They both made it through the surgery without any complications, and we were able to pick them up the next day. Now they have some extra skin that flops from side to side when they walk, but no infections developed.
Tips
The best recommendation I can make is to go check out the facility that you want to have the work done at before you actually take the animals there. Look at how clean the office is, and ask to look in back at the examination and storage area. Ask the vet if he or she has had any complications related to the surgery. The most important thing to look at though is the cleanliness of the facility. If it is dirty, finda nother place, because there is a good chance for infection in a place that is not clean. I wish we had gone somewhere else, but maybe we were lucky.
