I had my cat spayed at our family vet. The cost was $50 for the surgery and $35 for the follow up visit.
Review of Service
The actual service here was fine. We'd gotten a new cat from a friend. The cat wasn't fixed so when we took it to the vet we inquired about prices for spaying. The vet told us it would be $50. We are on a fixed income so we had to save up for the surgery. Once we had enough money saved up we had the surgery done. We dropped our cat off before work and by the time we got out of work our cat was ready to be picked up. The cat was slightly out of it from the surgery but that wore off quickly.
The bad part was that we had to have a follow up to have the stitches removed. That cost us another $35 that we weren't prepared to spend.
Overall though, it was good. The vet was sure to give us detailed instructions on how to take care of the cat after the surgery.
Tips
When you get a quote on the price be sure that you ask for all the costs involved, including follow up visits.
