Description of service
I scheduled a 60 minute deep tissue massage at a health club where I am a member. I say I scheduled a 60 minute massage because it ended up being about 75 or 80 minutes, just because she didn't have anyone after me and she wanted to finish working out the knots.
Because I was a member of the health club, I could get in the hot tub beforehand to relax. I am not sue, but I think if someone was not a member, they could still use the hot tub with the purchase of a massage.
The massage costs $60 for members, and I gave a $10 tip. It is $70 for non-members.
Review of Service
The massage was wonderful. The massage therapist is very chatty, which some people don't like, and i don't think is normal for a massage therapist. However, she's good enough for me to overlook this.
The therapist used many different techniques, using her elbows, knuckles, fingers, and even knees. She got into some of the knots in my muscles that no one has ever been able to work out before and got almost all of them out. I'm looking forward to going back and finishing up!
Tips
Ask the massage therapist what kind of technique he or she uses - I loved how deep this massage was, but some people wouldn't have liked it. In addition, if you want a quiet environment, make sure the therapist knows this up front.
Also, go to places and people that you have personal recommendations for. Just because a massage is more expensive does not at all mean it will be better!
