Description of service
I got a deep tissue massage at a health spa in allentown, pennsylvania. It lasted about an hour, it was 250 for the massage and then I tipped the masseuse another 50 dollars.
Review of Service
I have been to this particular health spa several times, and enjoy it a great deal. This particular time I opted for a deep tissue massage, which is a little more expensive than the standard massage, but I was especially tense that day. It's about 75 dollars more for the deep tissue, but in my opinion it was worth it. The masseuse was polite and respectful. She introduced herself, explained the process and then left the room to allow me to disrobe and get under the sheet. The massage started with me face up, hands, arms and shoulders, and then I flipped over and she continued on my back. After about an hour, she said that we are all done, and told me to feel free to relax a little before getting dressed. Once I woke up a little and got dressed, she was waiting outside with a glass of water and asked if I enjoyed myself. She was quiet pleasant and walked me to the receptionists desk before saying goodbye.
Tips
I definitely recommend either going to a place you already know, or doing some research before choosing your masseuse. And important point to remember is that some spas don't require or expect tips, however in others it is a normal practice. Its tough to know ahead of time, but a good bet is just to call up and ask if their masseuses are tipped. The receptionist will know, and that way you can anonymously find out the answer. Be sure to take the tip into consideration when trying to find the best price for service.
