Description of service
My niece has been dying to learn to dance like all of her little friends, but her family hasn't been able to afford it. My gift to her on her eighth birthday was a month of dance lessons to see how she liked and then we'd go from there.
I didn't feel that $100 per month was too much, especially since she had lessons once a week for 45 minutes at a time. All clothing and shoes were extra and there are only 4 recitals per year, so that's not included in the $100 either.
Review of Service
This is for group instruction, so there wasn't a lot of individual attention from the instructor. Instead, the instructor got up front and depended on older girls that are in a higher class of modern dance to help the younger ones. My niece loved the classes and we will definitely continue paying for her to go, although she's wanting to explore ballet and tap instead.
Tips
In any given town, there's usually at least one dance instructor that stands way above the rest. These instructors sometimes have continuously full to capacity classes, but most of them also supervise younger instructors that were quite probably taught by them years ago. This enables you to still get the quality you desire, sometimes at a cheaper price.
