the Price of Dance Lessons for Kids

My daughter attends dance class once a week each week during the school year. The dance school that she attends offers a wide range of classes covering many different types of dance including ballet, tap, hip hop and modern. The classes for the little ones usually covers ballet, tap and light gymnastics. For older girls, the classes focus on a single type of dance with most of the girls taking more than one class a week. The founder of the school was a famous dancer on broadway and her many connections are apparent with all the opportunites that are open to the girls for perfomances thru out the year.

The quality of the dance instruction is excellent. The teaching is focused and effective. The recital at the end of the year is a huge event that everyone looks forward to. I am always amazed at how supportive the girls are to one another and how interested they are in seeing all of the performances from all the groups of girls during their dress rehersal.

Really look into the quality of the dance school you send your child to. Most dance classes cost a similar price or at least a very similar range. For one year I had my daughter attend dance classes at her school for a little less of the price of the school she attends now and she learned almost nothing and the little recital they had was a disaster.
