Description of service
I have paid this amount monthly for my daughter to take basic dance lessons for the past year. She attends once per week for one hour. The lessons include instruction in ballet, tap, and jazz. Recital fees of $55 are not included in this amount. Dance attire and shoes are also extra. She is currently 6 years old; as she gets older and continues to add classes, the price will increase. Dancers also have the option to take private lessons at an additional cost.
Review of Service
I am very pleased with the price and quality of this dance studio. The teachers are well qualified and focus on proper technique. The older students are encouraged to interact with the younger students and are able to serve as assistants in many of the basic classes. The price is reasonable and is comparable with most other dance studios in this area.
Tips
If you would like to enroll your daughter or son in dance classes, I would suggest visiting at least three different studios and meeting with the studio owners. Ask the owners how the students are promoted to different levels. Also, ask yourself what your child will want out of the experience. Most studios have competition teams as well as recreational dancers. If your child would possibly want to compete, you may want to ask the studio owner about that aspect of dance. Before you decide on a dance studio, make sure your child feels comfortable with the instructors and the environment. This will ensure your child has a great experience with dance!
