the Cost of BMW Repair

Usually when it comes to BMW it is flawless and seldom requires an extra service if you properly maintain it. But my air conditioner compressor in my M5 Sedan required replacement this summer, it was cracked and required a whole new compressor. The mechanic offered a repair of the same compressor as an option for $1000 less, so for the money I felt I should go with it. So the cost of $1400 included repairing of the faulty air conditioning compressor and labor to reinstall it. He told me that he again casted out a part of it and replaced the faulty one with that part.

I get a very high level of service every time I visit my regular mechanic and this occasion was no exception. My mechanic allows me to purchase the parts myself and bring them to him that means he isn't taking commission in purchasing spare parts. This time also though the price paid was high but the work done was of the same high quality. My Air conditioning system is working perfectally good now.

If you don't know about cars I recommend getting the advice of someone who does before visiting a mechanic. Also get price quotes from several mechanics on an expensive job. It is always useful to have a knowledge of what is wrong in the car and how the mechanic is going to fix it.
