Description of service
Costing 214.50 for the tank itself (I am sure the shop charged me "shop profit mark up), the final total for just the tank was 231.12 with 16.62 in tax. I asked and paid for a new tank (I caught vandals pouring sugar in it the night before and I wanted no part of it going through the car so rather than risk it I chose to replace the tank) but for all I know, they drained the old tank, washed it out, and put it back on. If I had not been out of town I would not have made this repair at the shop I did and 112.5 for 1.5 hours of labor later, I walk out paying 343.62 for what I'm thinking is NOT the same gas tank I had to start out with. My own mechanic confirmed the fact for me later on by showing me how weathered and "beat up" my NEW tank was after only a couple of weeks of installation.
Review of Service
Zero out of how ever many stars you choose to use. This place shafted me for over two hundred bucks.
Tips
Shop where you know who you are dealing with, and in the rare event that you cannot, on those occasions i guess my best advice is to bend over and kiss the contents of your wallet goodbye and be grateful that nobody is sticking a gun in your face, which would be the only thing I can think of that could make a situation like this any worse than it already is.
