Description of service
My Z4 was hit from behind. Owner inspected car and saw no visible damage except for an indentation size of a dime. Owner took Z4 to a shop for damage review to be on the safe side. The dealer found $1,800 worth of damage. The supporting struts behind bumper needed replacing. Decided to go ahead with repairs since insurance covered it. The arts were $1,200 and labor was $600.
Review of Service
The shop had a third party on premises that reviews all collision damage on all cars. Representative was polite. The car was sent to another town for repairs. Simple repairs took about a week. I think the simple repairs should have taken less time. The car was returned to a drop off location. This is not normally done. The car was repaired, cleaned and polished. Quality of the service was excellent. The whole experience was excellent but took longer for repairs than expected. The service was good value. Wow!
Tips
Shop around for best price. If dealer is same or 10-20% more stay with dealer. Tried to negotiate price but would not change price. Considering the service and workmanship, I got a fair deal. Clarify how to pickup repaired car and length of repairs before agreeing to any work.
