Description of service
My seatbelt locking mechanism jammed so the passenger front sealbelt could not be locked. This was prblematic as I couldn't really have anyone in the front seat. I called the local repair department and found that they were booked for months! I called to a local town dealer and got an appointment. The buckle locking mechanism was replaced and I had my car back in a few days.
Review of Service
The service itself was exepmplary as expected form a luxury car dealer. The timing was awful. Had I not been worried about insurance issues I am sure I could have replaced the buckle myself in about an hour. The dealer took two weeks to get the appintment and then four days to complete the job! Timing for the fix was terrible, but the job was done well, my car cleaned, and I was treated well as a customer. The dealership was courteous and offered me many conveniences for my wait including a loaner car, free newspaper, and free wash for my SUV.
Tips
I most definitely advise perople to call around instead of sticking only to your local dealership. Most of the time you will find another dealship with either faster service, or cheaper service. I am often willing to drive a county away to get m vehicle fixed in a day or two!
