A Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and filing of paperwork to keep house. Did a budget outline to see if we could afford repayment and we couldn't so advised us what to do.

The lawyer was freindly and thorough. He went over what we had coming in monetarily and what was going out monitarily. He made sure to get all our creditors included and was with us in court. He made sure to go through everything with the judge and got our bankruptcy approved. They followed through afterwards with all the reaffirmation paperwork for our house.
Tips
Make sure your lawyer goes through all the creditors you have and that you get in as soon as possible. The sooner you get it done, the quicker that you can it behind you. Make sure if you want to keep your house that you get ahold of the reaffirmation paperwork from your mortgage company. If you don't you will have a headache due to them giving you the run around for getting the mortgage paid. Make sure to always have a copy of your paperwork handy for when creditors try to buy the debt from other creditors. They can't make you pay once it has been discharched, you are under no obligation to pay it.
