Description of service
Fertility questions and consultations, obstetrics, gynecology, referrals, treatment, diagnostics, testing, genetic testing, prenatal care, birth control and family planning. I went in for delivery via C-Section and had my tubes tied.
Review of Service
The service was good. No complaints on my end. It was done after the birth of my son, and it impeded the recovery time just a little bit. I was surprised I had to deliver at a different hospital than I normally would have because of the hospital's religious affiliation, but other than that, no issues. I was sedated and given an epidural for the procedure after delivering via c-section, and I felt almost nothing but pressure while the procedure was performed. I recommend the procedure to anybody who is certain they don't want to continue to extend their families.
Tips
Be certain you and your partner do not want to have any more children whatsoever. It is not a reversible procedure, so it is set in stone, and not a decision to be taken lightly on any account. The recovery is just a smidge longer than a regular c-section recovery, so expect to be fairly sore for about two to three weeks following the tubal ligation. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions, and before planning on having the procedure done at the hospital where you deliver, be sure the religious affiliation will allow tubal ligation following delivery.
