Review of Service
The service was good. The payment was based on an honor system because we arrived at the campsite late. We really have no complaints. We didn't encounter anybody else at all. We were left to our own devices. The campground was quiet and clean, and had some beautiful campsites. There were fire rings on our campsite, but we weren't able to start a fire because of drought. Other than that, it was a very relaxing weekend for myself, my husband, and our kids. The fire restrictions made it difficult to cook breakfast, but there were plenty of places nearby which the ranger recommended--all within hiking distance!
Tips
Call ahead to be sure the campground you are thinking of staying at isn't full. Some will accept reservations, so if possible, reserve your space. See if there are any kinds of restrictions for your camping excursion, such as fire restrictions, or weather restrictions. If camping with young children, be prepared to leave in the middle of the night. After the second night my five-year-old was sure a bear was going to eat him. Even after having the ranger talk to him, he still thought a bear was going to come into the tent and eat him, so we had to leave in the middle of the night our second night. Fun!
