Description of service
Was a rustic campsite with no water or electric hookup. Price was for staying two nights. Overlooked the water and was short distance to the bathroom/shower house.
Review of Service
Got there after work on a Friday night. State Park ranger checked us in and was very nice--gave us a map and told us to have a good time, after going over all the rules. Once we got to our campsite, we were a bit disappointed. The site was muddy, all the sites around us were taken so the place was crowded, there was a lot of noise from kids and smoke from fires already going, as well as cigarette smoke. They advertised that this site was private, but we felt like we were in a fish bowl the whole time. Park had "quiet time" rule of 10PM that was not enforced. There was yelling and partying going on until after 2AM and no rangers or any park officials came by to stop it. We only stayed one of the two nights we paid for.
Tips
Go and look at the site on a busy night before reserving it. We thought it looked private when no one was there in the middle of the week, but once there on the weekend it was a nightmare of noise and kids. Think of getting a cabin. Do not expect any park attendents to enforce any rules. Camp during the week if you can to avoid the weekend crowds.
