Description of service

The cost was for two nights stay at a camping site with electric only. It was close to the bathrooms and to a water source. It was wooded but not private. We were tent camping.

Review of Service

To put it simply, I would never go back and I returned all my camping gear to the store the next week. It was my second time tent camping and my first time tent camping in a state park. The park was full of rude and loud people and the rules posted were not followed nor enforced. This primarily was a problem when trying to sleep. There was a rule stating that quiet time started at 10 PM. At 3 AM I was still awake listening to one of my camping neighbors laughing loudly and their kids playing and riding their bikes in the dark through my campsite! We paid for two nights but we only stayed one night. We broke camp the next morning. I emailed the state park the next day and told them I thought the experience was horrible and that they really dropped the ball.

Tips

I would say stay away from campground run by the state, unless you have kids and like to stay up late and be noisy. You will fit right in if you are that type of person. If you are like us, quiet and polite and actually trying to commune with nature, a campground is not the place for you.
