Description of service

We stayed in a state park in Utah in a campground that had both RV hookups and spaces for folks with tents to camp. We had a tent. The cost was $20 for the site for one person and $4 for each additional person. As it was me an another person, we ended up paying $24 total.

Review of Service

You really can't beat this price, but there were still some issues.

On the positive end, we had access to very nicely kept clean showers and clean bathrooms. That was a huge help, as we'd been camping for quite a while and most of the places we stayed were not very well kept. There was also a mess hall that had very reasonable prices. All the people staying around us were very nice and we all ended up building a fire together and having a great time.

On the downside, was the fact that the tenting campground had a gravel floor! If you've never slept in a tent on gravel, I suggest you don't. It was incredibly uncomfortable and very, very cold with no grass to insulate us.

Tips

As usual, you get what you pay for. If you have the option of upgrading from gravel to grass you should pay whatever it costs to not have to sleep on gravel!
