Description of service
It was a one day course on candle making from nine am to three pm. They covered safety. Making gel candles in jars and making dipped candles and poured candles in molds. It was interesting to learn about how and why the wax shrinks. You get a smaller candle than you expect because of that. They covered other basics like selecting the right wicks for the candles.
Review of Service
It was a very nice class. It was at a country setting where they do other things too. There was a lunch break where everyone could talk and tour the farm area a bit if they wanted. The instructor was very nice and gave clear instructions and was easy to learn from. Also learned about getting the wick in candles after they are formed. There is a special tool. The whole day was fun and easy going. No pressure at all. Everyone was very supportive and friendly. A nice way to spend a day relaxing and learn something useful too. I think they covered all the basics you need to know.
Tips
Dipped candles take a lot longer to make than any other kind but can be pretty when colors are layered and cut.
