Description of service
I paid 30.00 for a holiday candle making class at a local art and crafts store. The fee included the cost of materials to make 3 candles in this 2 hour class. The store provided everything, including snacks! We were given instruction booklets to take home with us, in case we wanted to make candles at home at a later date.
Review of Service
The service was excellent. The class started on time and we were introduced to each other and the instructor so I felt right at home. The instructions were clear, written and verbal as well as a demonstration of each step in the candle making process. We were given a wide variety of molds and colors of wax so we could personalize our projects. The class 2 hours, and that was plenty of time to finish, even with all the talking and laughing that went on. We were given an opportunity to purchase more supplies and candle kits if we wanted to, but I did not fell pressured to buy more.
Tips
When you sign up, ask what is included so you know if there are any hidden costs. Ask if there is a discount if you pay when you sign up, or is the price the same for "walk-ins", that way you can talk a friend into going with you and you will know what the cost is and if you can bring a friend at the last minute. If you plan on continuing with your new hobby, ask if they have a list of supplies you will need to make candles at home. Do they have examples of the finished product you can view before you sign up?
