Description of service
We had our dog's teeth done last year, and knew we should do the same with our cat. Our vet agreed that it would have to be done sooner or later, with sooner being preferable since there would be less plaque build up. The $85 we spent was less than we spent on having our dog's teeth done which, according to the veterinarian, was due in part to the smaller size (and thus less anesthesia) of the animal. The price included the entire procedure as well as follow up antibiotics to prevent infection.
Review of Service
My cat was not happy when he arrived at the vet's office but then again, he never is. I dropped him off early one morning and was able to pick him up that afternoon, although he was still a bit groggy from the anesthesia. His teeth are now solid white again (I had never realized how even a small amount of plaque was so noticeable until afterwards).
Tips
Rather than doing repair work on your pet's teeth, find out what type of preventative maintenance should be done on their teeth. Just as with our dog, we were encouraged to brush our cat's teeth, although that is a nearly impossible task and we will probably just pay to have them professionally done again.
