Last week I paid $34 for Chinese food delivered to my house. This price included tax, a three dollar delivery fee, a three dollar tip and the cost of the food.
Review of Service
This was my first time trying a new Chinese restaurant about a mile from my house. Too tired to cook, we decided to try this new place and have the food delivered. We ordered 2 dishes and some rice on a weeknight at their busy hour at high traffic time as well. The woman on the phone was very polite and made sure twice that she had the order correct. They promised that they food would arrive within the hour. Imagine my delighted shock when the doorbell rang about 50 minutes after we called in the order. The food was piping hot, the delivery guy was very polite, gracious and had exact change! The three dollar delivery fee was definitely worth it as it would have cost more in gas alone for us to go pick it up on our own. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! It is definitely our new favorite local Chinese place!
Tips
Delivery charges can sometimes be outrageous. Check with the restaurant about the delivery fee before you order so you are not surprised when your food arrives.
