Description of service
I ordered three full Chinese dinners. Each included an entree, rice, a vegetable and fortune cookies. The price included a $4 delivery charge, tax, and a tip to the driver.
Review of Service
The service itself was fairly good. From the time I phoned in the order it took about 50 minutes for the delivery. The food was still warm - not hot - and the order was exactly what I'd asked for. The guy who delivered it was very professional and pleasant, as was the person who took the order over the phone.
Tips
The closer the restaurant is to your home the faster the delivery, which increases the odds that your food will arrive hot.
When calling in your order, don't feel bad about asking the person taking the order to repeat it back to you. Unlike in a restaurant, if you receive the wrong item in a delivery order you can't just send it back to get the correct item - you're stuck with it.
Compare delivery menus. There can be as much as a 30% difference in price for the same item from different restaurants.
Consider ordering early from the lunch menu instead of the dinner menu. Often the lunch menu is considerably less expensive and the combination plates have just slightly less food. You can always warm it up at dinnertime!
