Review of Service
This is an order from our favorite Chinese take-out & delivery place that's only three blocks from our office. We would normally just call in our order and then pick it up ourselves but it was a rainy day and we didn't want to get wet.
The price per meal is very reasonable since you get generous servings of food. Each order is so big that sometimes, two people can split one. There is a wide variety of meat, fish, and vegetable dishes to choose from and you can also upgrade your order for a minimal price (e.g., $0.50 to substitute fried rice or lo mein noodles or $1.00 to add a third viand).
Delivery was very fast (20 minutes from our phone call) considering that this is a very popular place and we ordered right at the peak of lunch hour.
Tips
For smaller orders, we normally tip $1.00 per order and then round it up to the higher dollar amount.
For big orders, we tip 10% of the total order price but no more than $10 to $15, depending on the weather and the bulk of the order.
Take into consideration the weather conditions when deciding how much to tip. I normally add a dollar or two when the delivery person has to brave bad weather.
