Description of service
The local Chinese restaurant delivers food to in-area Brighton residences for two dollars per order. They are extremely fast at delivering.
Review of Service
I generally won't pay to have food delivered--I will usually pick it up myself or order from a place that doesn't charge a delivery fee. One of the local Chinese restaurants, however, is so good that I will pay the two dollar delivery fee every time. They always tell me it will be 45 minutes before the food gets to my door, but the longest I have ever had to wait was twenty minutes. The drivers are always courteous, or I should say driver--it has always been the same guy bringing our food. He doesn't pull into the driveway, which my husband appreciates because he is worried about cars leaking oil on our driveway. He is always extremely courteous, though I wonder why he never steps inside the house as I am getting the credit card slip signed.
Tips
Be ready for the food to be there much sooner than the person on the phone says. The longest I have ever had to wait was twenty minutes. I wouldn't recommend jumping in the shower while you wait for your food to be delivered. Also, be clear about the address. The driver has called us back a few times for directions to our home. Now he remembers it is the one with the flag pole in front, but previously, he couldn't remember how to get here. Tip well--gas prices are ridiculous, and it needs to be worth their time and gas to get it here, especially as quickly as they do!
