the Price of Chinese Food Delivery

We ordered from a small, local Chinese restaurant for the first time. They have excellent sit-down meals and we were hoping their delivery service would be as good. We weren't aware of their opening hours and ordered late at night.

Since we were ordering late we were worried that the kitchen might be closed. We were pleasantly surprised to find that even though they were technically supposed to be closed for the evening, they did not mind our late call. They were very good taking our order with a good choice of how to pay, including cash, check, debit or credit cards. The delivery fee was extra but we didn't mind as the food arrived very quickly and was piping hot. We have used other places that do not charge a fee but we found that they tended to be slower and the food was often not as warm or that there were sometimes mistakes. The delivery man was very nice and had plenty of change. It can be better to pay a little extra and get the correct order quickly.

Try not to order too late at night or from a place too far from your home. Keep slots of change handy so you don't get stuck giving more of a tip than you had planned!
