Description of service
In order to take my playing the clarinet a step further, i hired a college student to teach me. He was a member of his college band and used to teach music to earn some extra bucks. He came to my place every alternate day and taught me for approximately one hour. I had to pay him $20 per lesson.
Review of Service
I firmly believe that the quality of service that i received was beyond any comparison. Since my teacher was himself a college goer, he charged me very little as compared to other private teachers. He also knew most of the latest songs that could be played on the clarinet. As i was almost of the same age as him, we bonded together quite well and there was no problem in communication.
Tips
The very basic need is that you must be able to communicate freely with the teacher as without proper interaction, you can't learn anything. Remember that not all good players are good teachers; if you have any doubt regarding the teacher's ability, do go for some free trial classes before actually joining. If you can learn in a group, well and good; otherwise go in for private lessons which are a bit expensive.
