Description of service
The lessons were to refresh myself for playing the clarinet which I hadn't done in a long time. I was able to contact one of the professors at the Univ. of Arkansas who got me in touch with some good private teachers in the area. Each lesson was 1 hour, with the price being $40 per hour. I took two lessons.
Review of Service
I feel that the instructor that I worked with was a very good instructor, able to work with people young and old, new or experienced (but rusty) with the instrument. She was very patient with me and helped me remember the skills I had used when I was in high school and college band. Of course, the fact that I lived half an hour away didn't help, but they were one of the cheaper and better recommended private instructors out there. I felt that the service was an excellent value for what I paid.
Tips
When looking for a good musical instructor, contact local high school band directors or college music professors. They are usually in contact with local tutors who are willing to work with students and adults. I personally wished that I hadn't put down my instrument for over 10 years and found myself in a very rusty case with the instrument.
