Description of service
We had moved our family to a new town and my daughter had decided that she would like to join the band and play clarinet. I used to play in high school but it had been so many years that I was not comfortable with teaching her how to play so I searched for a music teacher in the area in addition to what she would learn in class with the band. Thankfully, her band teacher was also an independent music teacher with his own studio just a few blocks from the school, so on the weekends, he would hold a one hour individualized class on Saturday, and then a one hour group class on Sundays. He would often include juices and snacks for the children after their lessons were done and would host pizza parties for the children and parents when the kids had done well or met a goal.
Review of Service
The music teacher was kind, patient, and charged very little for the lessons so you could not beat the price. Each of the lessons would have cost nearly fifty dollars if they were given by others, so the teacher offered a great deal. He cared more about teaching the love and art of music than making a salary.
Tips
Do some research and be sure you are comfortable iwth the teacher as would your child be. If you are feeling uncomfortable or uneasy, it is best to be on the safe side and find someone else.
