the Cost of Long Distance Movers

The price only included the delivery of the boxes, we did the packing, loading, unloading and unpacking. We followed the truck driver on the way down, but we lost him along the way. We were unable to locate the driver until the following day at the house. Since we we traveling with kids we stopped at hotel since we couldn't keep up with the driver. When we arrived at our house, we called the company and the driver dropped the shipping container on our lot but far away from where we needed it, since he couldn't pull up close enough. This fee included the driver's time, hotel stay, and we gave the driver a tip afterward. The only downside was that the when he arrived we only had a two hour window to unload the container.

Overall, our experience was a good one. The new house was three story and we were wore out. We really could have used some help with the furniture with a more serious moving company. We were traveling cheap, but if I did it again I'd try to hire help with everything. Some of our furniture was damaged due to the way we packed it and I think profession movers wouldn't have made the same mistake.

Work out with the service to get help with the move. It is worth the money! The money you'll lose in damaged furniture wasn't worth it - and being worn out from loading the truck and then having to drive all that way down to Florida was not fun!
