We paid $1000 for a relocation service to move all of our things from Florida to Ohio. This fee included putting everything into the moving van. It did not, however, include any packing or packing supplies. This was a flat rate. We did not have to pay anything else for gas, tax, etc.

We were fairly happy with the service, considering it was the cheapest of all the services we checked out. They did an decent job of putting all of our things into the moving van. I think they could have been a little more careful with some of our more fragile items. They weren't exactly on time, and they were a day late arriving in Ohio. That didn't bother us too much, considering we were putting everything into a storage unit.

If you need to take advantage of a relocation service, definitely shop around. You absolutely get what you pay for. You need to consider whether or not you would like to pack everything yourself. You should also consider whether or not you want to load your own things. The more you have the movers do, the more it is going to cost you. There are a lot of companies out there. Find one that is fully-insured to protect your stuff.
