Description of service
We took our whole family to have our portrait taken to give our parents for Christmas. We had a group of 14 adults and children ranging in age from 4 months old to 50. We ended up sitting for 3 poses - all kids, all adults and both adults and kids. Each family bought one of the prints for our parents and we each got one or two poses for ourselves. The price included the sitting fee and 2 8x10 photos. The photographer that worked with our group was pretty good. They got pictures with everyone looking like they were enjoying the time and it looked fairly natural considering the ages involved and the length of time it took to get everyone placed just right.
Review of Service
The logistics of setting up the sitting time was extremely difficult and we had to change the appointment twice. The studio was very flexible and willing to work with our schedule to keep the studio open past the usual hours. In the end, we took an appointment within the usual hours, but I really appreciated their willingness to work with our varied schedules. The photos turned out well and we were all pleased with the outcome. It was kind of a trying time getting all set up for each pose, but that is to be expected when so many different ages are involved.
Tips
If you want to get a big group together, it is a good idea to set the appointment and then have one family member in charge of keeping the date on the minds of everyone. I had a sister that called to check in several times to make sure we could all make the appointment and as it happened, we had to reschedule. If she had not been on it, we would most likely have a picture with at least one family member missing. That would not have meant nearly as much to the folks as it did with everyone there.
