the Price of Christmas Portraits

Had a studio portrait taken of my son for Christmas. Included 1 pose, 1 8x10, and 25 wallets. Price of $45 included the pictures, the photographer, the developing, and rush service for Christmas.

The service was amazing. The photographer was very patient, and used a lot of time and energy to make sure my son was entertained and smiling. She was very competent, and understood that after awhile, my son couldn't handle anymore. So she made the pictures go very quick, but kept him smiling the whole time. The low price included not only her services and the photography time, but the photographs themselves, and a rush so they would be done before Christmas.

Photography these days doesn't have to be a hugely expensive encounter. With a lot of places offering photography services that didn't before, photography can be done for a fairly inexpensive price. Some of the things to look for is what experience does the photographer have, are there extra fees for things, and what type of hours does the studio keep. If you have to go to a studio that's only open during the week, for example, if you work that may not be something you want to do. No one wants a picture right after they get out of work!
