Ick. I have had spray tans in the past that looked fantastic and lasted a long time. I got a promotional coupon in the mail, and thought I would give the new place a try, and wish I hadn't. The color is supposed to look natural and subtle, like I had just spent a few hours in the sun. However, the result was an orangey-pink splotchy color that certainly looks fake and unnatural. The spray came out in spurts and globs, which had me skeptical from the get-go, and even though I exfoliated well before my session, I still have areas where there appear to be spots on my skin from over-development of the dyes. It is a weird looking tan, and I am doing everything I can to make it go away. I certainly will not ever return to the salon for another tanning session!

Exfoliate well before a spray-tanning session. Also, be sure to avoid showering for several hours afterwards as you may wash away some of the color (unless, of course, you are trying to make it go away faster like I was!).
