Description of service
For $30 I received a 15 minute spray tanning, full body session. The price covered the session, as well as covers for the palms of my hands and bottom of my feet (which do not naturally tan). I was offered the option of small goggles, and the booth was fully ventilated.
Review of Service
I think the quality of the service was simply excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable about spray tanning, and answered my questions, even down to whether or not my clothes would stain. (They don't.) The nice thing about the service is that you're not doing anything harmful to your body, so it's not as dangerous as normal tanning. The only thing I didn't like about the service was that my normally fair skin turned out kind of yellow. Luckily, however, this faded into a more natural color in a few days. I think for the service, it was a good price, but I would probably not do it often. The tanning beds are much less expensive.
Tips
As for tips, do your research. Check out the consumer report information on spray tanning, and find out how experienced your chosen salon is. Make sure they have ventilated booths, as the spray hasn't been authorized for internal use. (You do breathe in the mist) If you're nervous about it, most places will offer goggles or nose and ear plugs. Or hold your breath!
