Description of service
I paid for a spray tan session. It was my first. I had to dress down to a bikini in a booth and the spray tan "artist" came in the booth and spray painted a tan on my skin. She did not do my face and she said to make sure not to touch the tan for about 10 to 20 minutes. The solution is like a self tanner applied in a very fine spray (like painting a car) to keep the color even and consistent. I stayed in the booth while the tan "set" and then just dressed back in my regular clothes. The spray tan gave me a base tan and she said about two more sessions at $45 each would adjust my skin to the solution. If I want to keep the tan up it is only one session about every two weeks at the same price.
Review of Service
I love it. It gave me a great tan and is not any more expensive than a tanning bed. It does not do any skin damage and the color is not orangey or fake like many at home self tanners. I thought the woman at the salon did a great job of explaining the process and the cost and she made me feel very comfortable while she spray tanned me.
Tips
Call a couple of different salons to see if any offer package deals. While one session gives you a great color you will have to go back several times to keep the tan up for the whole summer.
