Description of service
I was going on a vacation to the United States Virgin Islands. I pre-tanned using a spray tan booth at a local gym that offers regular bed tanning, booth spray tanning and air brush tanning. I had 6 visits at $10 per visit so that I wouldn't look so pale when I got there. This is a very easy service to use, and it only requires about 10 minutes of your time. You disrobe, cover your hair, don a pair of goggles and enter the booth. You then hit the button to start the spray process. The booth sprays you, pauses so you can turn, and spays again. You are able to turn several times and also you can lift your arms to get your sides.
Review of Service
I was very pleased with the tan I received, however, be aware it is not a very long lasting tan. I am very fair, so a tan is a luxury for me. It is good if you have a special occasion that you want a tanned look for. It was good because it gave me a base color to start with before I got to my destination. I feel I look better in my clothes with some color. Once at the resort I was able to begin tanning outdoors using sun screen. I started with a 30 block and worked my way down to a 15 and that is what I used throughout the 10 day vacation. I was careful to always use sun screen so that I didn't burn. It's easy to assume that you are safe from a burn since you look very evenly tanned, but it's just a coating on your skin with no protection built in.
Tips
Make small turns so the spray will hit every angle of your body. Cover any areas you don't want tanned, like your hair and eyes. Be careful on the tops of your feet because they can take too much spray and not look natural. Remember to clean off around your toe nails and the palms of your hands since they usually don't get tanned. Take an old bathing suit or underwear if you want to have the look of a tan with suit marks. Remember to take off all jewelry, including earrings as the spray tanning formula may damage the finish. In fact, it would probably be best to leave your jewelry at home so you don't risk losing something.
