Description of service
I needed to get a base tan started quickly before going on vacation so I went to a local tanning salon to get a spray tan. I entered the store, and after the staff explained a couple different types of product that could be used and the kinds of spray tans I could get, I payed for the session and went into the booth to change. After getting sprayed and waiting a few seconds for the chemical to start drying, I rubbed in the solution as instructed and washed my hands to avoid staining. The staff checked spots I couldn't reach and then I was done.
Review of Service
My tan appeared within a few hours, didn't leave my skin dry and itchy like i've experienced before. I didn't have any uneveness in the color or "orange" tint. One of the nicest things was that I didn't get marks on my back or the backs of my legs from laying in a bed and I wasn't sweaty and sticky after getting sprayed like I'd be had I layed in a bed. I also didn't end up with any gross lines on my feet from wearing flip flops out of the salon which was great.
Tips
I'd go to a reputable shop where they will explain the process fully first. Ask any friends or family that have been sprayed before for tips and if they have any salons they don't prefer. I would also make sure to exfoliate incredibly well before going and make sure that you are sure to wipe off any additional solution before it dries fully. Don't tan the day before you're going to leave, i'd do a few lighter sessions if possible so that you're sure to have even color. I'd also mix actual sun exposure with spray tan rather than relying on the spray 100% to get the tan you're looking for.
