Description of service
We had to have the drum replaced on our washer. The price of the replacement drum was $100 and the service was $85. We were not charged for the initial consultation.
Review of Service
My daughter washed her tennis shoes in the washer to a disasterous end. The washer was totally out of wack after this happened. I called a random service company out of the phone book. The man who came out took a look and knew right away what the problem was. He said he'd need to order a part and would call us within 2 days. He called the next day to say the part would take a week to get in, as our washer is older. He called 5 days later to say the part was in and to schedule the appointment. He came over and fixed it in less than an hour. When he gave us our final bill he did not end up charging us for the first time he came over. I asked him about it and he said the doesn't like to charge unless he can actually do something or if the customer refuses whatever fix he suggests. I was very impressed in his confidence.
Tips
Find out the rates before you okay a project like this. We got lucky but should have gotten a written quote.
