Description of service
I recently took a half day Italian cooking class at the local Community center. The costs included the food prepared, a recipe book and of course, the instructor. The course lasted longer than anticipated. About 30 people attended so we took turns doing different things in preparation. I got a good lesson in chopping herbs correctly, We ended up with a Penne Vodka sauce over pasta. The sauce was made from scratch but the pasta was commercial brand. Our instructor went over each ingredient and what it did for the flavor.
Review of Service
The class was great. It was fun and I actually learned a lot about Italian cooking along with learning different seasonings and how to correctly chop your spices. The class was actually too big and I would suggest they keep it to a minimum of 15 people. Not everyone got a good opportunity to participate in the cooking. But all got the opportunity to taste and it was excellent. The recipe book we took home was good and has lots of good suggestions on Italian cooking including where and how to buy certain ingredients. These are fun classes really for all ages and there were a wide range of people.
Tips
Always check out what is included when you take a cooking course/class. I would not go to a large one and would rather attend a small class.
