Description of service
There was an Italian cooking class offered that included three 2-hour sessions, once per week, for three weeks in a row. The classes were held in a fully furnished teaching kitchen and each class focused on a different aspect of Italian food: pasta, sauce, and desserts. I had about 15 people in each class with an instructor and two assistants to demonstrate and provide guidance as we tried to do things on our own. The price included all materials and some of the classes even ran a little longer than 2 hours.
Review of Service
I had always wanted to learn more about cooking, so I decided to start with my favorite type of food which I also hoped would be a little easier than other types of cuisines. I really liked the instructor, and she was patient and got us all comfortable with the kitchen and materials very quickly. Since the class was a beginning course for adults, everyone was a little unsure of what to do, but we all learned some simple techniques and had prepared a good dish by the end of each class. I especially liked the pasta class where we learned how to make it from scratch and it tasted so much better than in a store. The price was very reasonable for the fun and education that I got from it.
Tips
Before I started, someone gave me a good suggestion to take a short course of 3 or 4 classes to make sure that I liked it, so that is a valuable tip. Also, choose a food that you know so that you will be able to tell the difference between your cooking and a restaurant or store and you will get more satisfaction from the experience.
