Description of service
I paid $300 for a 15 week course that taught the basics of Jazz Dance, which is essentially dance for the musical theatre stage. The basics of social dance, i.e swing, minuet, waltz, salsa, etc were also taught. The class was an hour long, twice a week, and taught by a very well established instructor.
Review of Service
My Jazz class was a great experience. I was looking to improve my movement ability on stage and also get some exercise at the same time. It was extremely challenging even for beginners, so I was never bored. The teacher was fast paced but also would make modifications based on her assessment of the class' current ability level.
Tips
Do your research and be prepared to pay $100 more or less than what I paid. I am a student, so I got to take advantage of the "student price." Similar price breaks are also available to seniors and those who have multiple children in dance programs. Remember also that the price of lessons does not include the price of dance shoes, leotards, tights, etc. Definitely worth the money if you are serious about the stage, or just want a fun way to get in some exercise!
