Description of service
I found a place on the lower west side of Manhattan that costs 15 dollars per class. Not bad considering prices in NYC can go as high as 80 dollars a class. Each lesson consists of a warm up(yoga) and greeting so that our muscles can get unwound and so that we could welcome a new member of the group. After that was the actual dance lesson followed by a relaxing cool down routine; usually yoga. The instructor provided mats for everyone if they didn't bring their own. like i said before... not bad for 15 dollars.
Review of Service
I went to college for musical theater so after I graduated, I of course wanted to stay in shape and on point by taking dance lessons. I found a place on the lower west side of Manhattan that costs 15 dollars per class. Not bad considering prices in NYC can go as high as 80 dollars a class. Each lesson consists of a warm up and greeting so that our muscles can get unwound and so that we could welcome a new member of the group. The Instructor made sure she didn't pin point anyone in particular to make them feel uncomfortable in front of the others..but we quietly come to you so that she could give you instruction if you needed help. I found the other members to be very helpful and non judgmental. Over all i enjoyed the classes and found them very beneficial. The people were very nice and the instructor made everyone feel welcome. The only complaint i have is that it got a bit crowded. It seemed like somedays, only a certain amount of people were allowed in and on others, anyone could come in. I definitely feel that the classes were worth 15 dollars. It was a quick and cheap way to get practice in with others who enjoy the same thing.
Tips
When searching for dance classes, Do not go with the one that costs the most. Dancing is dancing; just because someone wants to charge 80 dollars to let you do it doesnt make it better!!! research different prices and places. Read reviews and ask around to people you know.
