Description of service
At the beginning of this year I enrolled my 8 year old daughter into jazz dancing lessons. She has two 1 hour classes per week, which we pay $50.00 per month for. The other expenses that we have encountered include costumes for recital which cost around $30.00 for the two piece set, photographs at the dance studio of her in her costume and with her class which we paid around $50.00 for a couple of the larger sizes and around 30 wallets. We also paid $10 for a DVD of the recital. All together we have spent around $400 so far on expenses from her class.
Review of Service
While we have spent around $400 so far this year, it has been worth every penny of it. The class is excellent and she loves going. I thought it would be like most other things and she would tire of it in a month or so, but she still looks forward to her classes and is ready to go an hour early. The total cost may be a little steep in the long run, but broken down monthly it is manageable and worth seeing the boost in her self confidence. She has transformed from a shy little girl into an outgoing and energetic dancer.
Tips
It is never to early to get your child interested in dance. After seeing the toddlers, I wish I had started my daughter sooner. It is important to find a class that will work for you and your child. Many centers offer you the opportunity to sit in on a class or have your child join in a time or two before you make your decision to enroll them. Don't hesitate to ask to meet the teacher and discuss what would be expected of your child. Some classes are designed for fun and exercise while others focus on performance and perfection, be sure the one you choose fits your child's needs.
